The Western Outside Sales Director plays a pivotal role in driving business growth by identifying profitable freight opportunities, cultivating strong customer relationships, and onboarding accounts of all sizes. This position offers the opportunity to represent all operating divisions of a leading national refrigerated carrier. This person must represent Pride Transport’s culture, i.e., The PRIDE Way.

- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the refrigerated truckload freight industry.
- Collaborate with Pride Transport's sales, pricing, and operations teams to identify and pursue freight opportunities that enhance company profitability.
- Proactively manage potential accounts throughout the sales cycle, including initiating contact, building relationships, qualifying leads, closing deals, and onboarding new clients.
- Partner with the pricing team to develop tailored, competitive proposals aligned with customer needs.
- Design and deliver compelling presentations to prospective customers, showcasing Pride’s value-added services in one-way truckload, dedicated, and logistics solutions.
- Collaborate with the Customer Service and Operations teams to address and resolve account challenges, ensuring sustained revenue growth and client satisfaction.
- Lead or contribute to account performance reviews with customers, discussing performance metrics, forecasts, and future opportunities to enhance division solutions.
- Represent Pride Transport in face-to-face meetings, on-site customer visits, and events, requiring occasional travel.
- Provide regular updates and reports on sales activities and sales performance to Pride Transport’s leadership.
- Provide senior leadership with market insights and trends to support strategic decision-making.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
- Proven experience in sales in the transportation industry, with a strong preference for experience in the refrigerated truckload market.
- Exceptional communication skills.
- Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, demonstrating the ability to multitask, learn quickly, and solve problems efficiently.
- High energy and a strong work ethic, with a results-driven mindset.
- Self-motivated and capable of resolving issues with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, with strong working knowledge of these tools essential for success.
- Must be ethical in all dealings.
